Sorry we have been so quiet on here for a while. Recording is progressing, we have played a lot of bars, payed our first all ages show in two months last week and had a blast.
This is our next Tacoma date, we are doing some out of town stuff as well. Make sure to keep your ear to the ground on that.

June update.
Hello.
Figured I would let you all know what we have been up to lately. We have definitely been somewhat reclusive as of late and I feel the need to explain.
The last two months we have been preparing to record our first full length record. It will be 9 or 10 songs. So with that being said, the process of tailoring our songs so that they will translate well on record has been a daunting task. We have also been writing a new rotation of songs that we will be slowly incorporating into our live sets, we collectively couldn’t be more excited about the somewhat different direction our songwriting has taken as of late. We hope that it will be received well.
Speaking of playing live, we have a few shows coming up!
-This Sunday (June 26th) - SONS, Sleeping in Gethsemane @ Metronome Coffee in Tacoma (corner of 6th ave and Union) Starts at 8 and it is free.
-JULY 10th - Sloths, SONS, Arpeggiator @ The New Frontier Lounge Starts at 9pm and it is $5 (21+)
-July 14th - He Whose Ox is Gored, Goldwing, Arpeggiator, SONS @ Hell’s Kitchen Starts at 9pm and it is $3 (21+)
We have been receiving quite a few requests to come down to the Portland/Vancouver area lately, and we are trying our hardest to make that happen in the next few months or so with our friends in Arpeggiator and possibly one other Tacoma group, so stay tuned for that.
We hope you are all well, I can’t speak for everyone else but I definitely miss spending time with all of you and meeting new people. I can’t wait to get out of our little self induced hibernation this Sunday.

May update
Hello.
This month has been kind of weird for us. A couple of us have been out of town for a few weeks, moving to different parts of Tacoma, and enjoying the fleeting sunshine while we can. We have also been focusing a lot more on administrative aspects of Sons (studio scheduling, writing, tour scheduling, etc.), we don’t have any shows booked for this month which is an odd feeling for us.
Speaking of shows, our next performance is on June 7th with VYGR. We are still waiting on a confirmation for the venue and start times and what not, but this definitely isn’t a show to miss.
After that date we are taking a break from playing Tacoma for a while, we feel a bit of over saturation happening and want to branch out into different areas. Portland, Bellingham, Spokane, and Centralia are all in the works, we will let you know when or if those are confirmed.
We are going to start recording drums within the next two weeks at a church in South end Tacoma with Ahren Lanfor and couldn’t be more excited to be working with him. The projects that he has had a hand in producing are all spectacular.

April Update
Decided to give tumblr an update on what is going on in our neck of the woods.
We have begun to record our first full length in Tacoma with our friend Ahren. The record will be 9 songs and we have scratch tracking done for seven of them. Of the nine these are seven of the track names, in no particular order:
-The Lorax
-I Remember the First Time You Darkened My Door
-21 Grams
-My Name is Tahvio
-No Simon, Do As I say
-In Due Time
-Burnt Drafts
We are in the process of finishing the additional two songs, and are working on other auxillary transitions between songs.
We are taking the time to make sure this is all done right, we don’t want to release anything that we don’t feel completely confident in.
Summer is filling up with shows, we have gotten a few offers that we are taking, some that we aren’t, setting up a few of our own. Nathan and I are going to be touring with a few different bands as fill-ins in June and July but we will have some form of performance happening at the beginning and end of each of those months.
Thank you for your continuing support. I know that is something that a lot of bands say, but we genuinely appreciate it and hope that you understand how much it truly means to us.
